Baklavas البقلاوة


This is a delicious Turkish dessert that was brought to Egypt & middle east during the Ottoman Empire. We usually do it & eat it  a lot in Egypt during the holy month of Ramadan (our fasting month), but it is sold through the whole year in all dessert shops. I love it & this is my mother's easy & delicious recipe.

Ingredients:

200 gm Fillo sheets
50 gm melted butter

The nuts mixture:
Roasted & finely chopped nuts
2 Table spoons melted butter
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

The Sugar syrup:
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
1 packet of Vanilla
few drops of lemon juice

Preparation:

Prepare the nut mixture : by mixing all the ingredients (use your favourite nuts, I used here hazelnuts & Pistachios, processed in a food processor)

Prepare the sugar syrup: put the sugar,Vanilla & water in a pot over the heat & wait till sugar dilutes in water. then add few drops of Lemon & leave them to simmer for 5 minutes then turn off the heat & set it aside.

Baklavas:
Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
Take 2 Filo sheets & brush it with melted butter then put the nuts inside , Roll the Fillo Sheets & cut them in equal parts & put them in a Casserole or a baking tray.
Repeat this till you finish all the Fillo sheets.
Brush the top of Baklavas with butter before entering the oven.
Enter the oven for around 25-30 minutes till golden on top.
Remove from the oven & pour the cool Sugar syrup over the hot Baklavas.


Zutaten:

200 g Filoblätter
50 g zerlassener Butter

Die Nüsse Mischung:

Gerostete & fein gehackte Nüsse
2 Esslöffel zerlassene Butter
2 Esslöffel Zucker
1 TL Zimt
Der Zuckersirup:

3/4 Tasse Zucker
3/4 Tasse Wasser
1 Päckchen Vanillizucker
paar Tropfen Zitronensaft

Zubereitung:

Die Nüsse mischung zutaten mischen (Eure lieblings Nüsse benutzen ,Ich habe Hazelnüße & Pistazie bentuzt)
Zuckersirup:
In einem Topf, Zucker, Wasser,Vanillie geben & auf mittlere Hitze kochen bis zucker aufgelöst ist. ein paar tropfen Zitronen saft geben & für ca. 5 minuten kochen lassen. Vom Herd nehmen & abkühlen lassen.
Baklavas:
2 Filoblätter nehmen & mit zerlassener Butter bestreichen.
Die Nüsse füllung geben & Rollen (in Foto) Die Baklava roll schneiden (ca. 5 cm ) & Im Backblech legen.
Die Baklavas mit zerlassener Butter bestreichen & im vorgehitzte backofen auf 200°C  ca. 25-30 minuten bis braun backen.
Vom Ofen nehmen & mit dem gekühlte Zuckersirup gießen.



Put the nuts mixture to the edge of the Fillo Sheet.
*Filoblätter mit zerlassener Butter bestreichen & die Nüsse füllung geben


Roll the Fillo Sheet with nuts inside.
*Filoblätter rollen.

Cut into equal parts.
*schneiden.

Put in a baking tray & brush the surface with melted butter
*Im Backblech legen.

Serve with Coffee or Tea.
Mit Kaffe oder Tee servieren.

المكونات : 200 جم ورق جلاش / 50 جم زبدة سايحة .
مكونات الحشوة : مكسرات حسب الرغبة (محمصة ومضروبة ناعم فالكبة )/ 2 ملعقة كبيرة سكر / 2 ملعقة كبيرة زبدة سايحة  / ملعقة صغيرة قرفة
مكونات شربات السكر : 3/4 كوب سكر & 3/4 كوب ماء & 1 ملعقة صغيرة فانيليا & قطرات من الليمون

الطريقة : سخني الفرن على 200 درجة ماوية.
اخلطي جميع مكونات الحشوة معا.
لتحضير شراب السكر: داعي السكر والماء والفانيلة في وعاء على النار وسخني حتى ذوبان السكر وحتى الغليان ثم ضيفي  قطرات الليمون وإتركين ليغلي حوالي 5 دقائق ثم اتركيه ليبرد

لتحضير البقلاوة : احضري ورقتين جلاش وإفرديهم ثم ادهني سطح الورقة العليا بالزبدة السيحة ثم ضعي مقدار من الحشوا (كما مبين بالصورة) ثم لفي ورق الجلاش ورصيه في صنية وادهنيه بالزبدة السيحة. كرري العملية حتى تنتهي كمية الجلاش.

ادخلي الصينية الفرن الساخن حوالي 25 دقيقة حتى يصبح السطح ذهبي . ثم اخراجيه من الفرن واسقيها بالشراب البارد. وبالهنا والشفا .

  4. how many gramms of nuts would you use Ola and which one's are traditional? You forgot to mention how many calories this lovely dessert has and just how bad it is for your hips...lol...thank you for another easy recipe <3

  5. Well,I personally used hazelnuts 300 & pistachios 50 gm..but my mother used to do it only with penuts! & it was the best ever!! If you eat only 1 it's around 70 Calories..but the problem is that you cann't stop after the first one :)
